About the exercises.
The point of a case is to put you in the decision-maker's seat. We keep the briefing, evidence and dilemmas in the main experience; these background notes sit here so the case itself can stay immersive.
Case construction
ReadSigil's practice cases use constructed companies, characters, figures and scenarios. Unless a case expressly cites a public historical source, its events and outcomes should not be treated as actual institutional results, client assignments or reporting. A debrief is one evidence-supported interpretation within the exercise, not the only defensible judgement.
Independence
ReadSigil is an independent editorial and learning project. Appearance of an industry, institution type, technology or company name in a case does not indicate endorsement, affiliation or an actual engagement.
Calculators, assumptions and accountability
Decision Atlas Studio illustrates problem decomposition, segment economics, diagnostic metrics and intervention design. Its numbers use scenario assumptions and its calculations run in the browser. They are not forecasts for an identifiable organisation. The Navigator presents example next-step reasoning from a research-stage rule, not an automatic authority to act. Real-world decisions require verified evidence, appropriate approval and professional judgement.
Build Lab: what the preview runs
Build Lab runs local browser previews. The agent preview uses rule-based source matching, not a language-model call. Its downloaded Python starter uses LangGraph after local installation; it does not run on the website. The FAQ bot uses matching against the supplied FAQ, and the dashboard is browser HTML and JavaScript. The Build Lab preview does not upload the entered examples to a service. Use example content rather than confidential business information.
Information and progress
The Decision Atlas Studio and Navigator are designed as local, browser-based demonstrations. They do not provide fields for uploading client or customer datasets. Case Files may save your writing locally in your browser. Case Lab can optionally use sign-in to sync assessment results across devices; this is a separate feature from the offline Studio. Do not enter confidential organisational information, account details, or personal records into public practice tools.
